RIFC Opening Day in Pawtucket
Scenes from yesterday’s opening day for Rhode Island FC in Pawtucket, shot on the Fuji X100VI. I had the privilege of attending the first match at our new stadium in Pawtucket with my parents and grandmother, who all grew up within a mile of the stadium site in downtown Pawtucket. The day was a celebration of the city and state, and felt like a turning point towards a new future for Pawtucket. The energy the fans, Defiance 1636, and La Banda 401 bring is unmatched to any other sporting event in Rhode Island. I’m really excited for what’s to come over the next few years along the river in downtown Pawtucket. But for now, we’re on to Wednesday… the Revs are coming!
