The Morning of the Crescent Sun
I've had this day on my calendar for the last five years. This morning, the Northeast of North America experienced a partial solar eclipse at sunrise. An extremely rare event, I missed the last one in 2021, and there won't be another in this area until 2093. All week the weather forecast was not looking promising, and when I left my house at 5am it was raining. As I stood on the rocks at Point Judith, there was a small gap in the clouds, and about 15 minutes after sunrise (and 15 min before the eclipse ended), the sun poked through the clouds for a couple minutes, allowing me to capture this once in a lifetime photograph.
